DOOR #3!
Today we will be revealing (installing) door #3 as it was the clear winner in the first round of voting. Ella and I have divided up the work pretty evenly and consider certain doors "mine" or "hers". We have been diligent in meeting to make sure we have all details covered. Last night we met for the final review, putting all the elements together over a glass of wine, of course.
We stepped back and did the crossed-arm, squinty, designer look, and were so happy with how it's looking.
I did realize that I had not completed my tasks for it and needed to skip the kindly offered dinner with Ella and her family (sadly because it smelled AMAZING!).
The details are very important to the message of the installation and careful consideration was put into each one. Besides having the challenge of creating all of this only using upcycled materials, the display needs to have a visual impact that can be processed in a second or two as people drive by.
Our hopes is that people will drive by again, and again, or perhaps even get out and walk up to the window to see all of the crafty details.
We are so happy to finally be installing one of the doors. We will have much more information on the process as well as the idea once its up today.
Stay tuned!
